Origins of BANGBANGCON: BANGBANGCON debuted in April 2020, streaming over two days. The name "BANGBANGCON" combines “Bang” from Big Hit Entertainment’s old name (now HYBE), “Bangtan” from BTS’s full name (Bangtan Sonyeondan), and “con” for "concert." Essentially, it translated into a “BTS concert from your room.”
The First Edition (April 18-19, 2020):
BANGBANGCON streamed performances from eight past BTS concerts and fan meetings on YouTube (via BTS's channel BANGTANTV). The concerts were pre-recorded shows from different tours, providing fans with the experience of watching the members perform on stages across various countries and times, including concerts like:
